Saudi-based Golden Chip Company (GCC) has selected Epicor ERP for deployment at its production facility in Damman.

The company, part of the Al Jabr Group, manufactures smart cards, RFID chips, magnetic stripe cards and associated services and solutions. The ERP system will help manage GCC's entire production process, including workflows, inventory tracking and quotations.

Total iCS, an Epicor value-added reseller (VAR) based in Saudi Arabia, will carry out the implementation.

GCC said that it selected the Epicor solution based on ease of use; ability to handle the complete production cycle; low total cost of ownership; advanced features and technology; exceptional user interface; and, compatibility with operational objectives.

"Epicor stood out from the start because it is one of the top ten developers of ERP systems for manufacturers in the world," said Adel Al Jabr, general manager, Golden Chip Company. "We realized that the structure of the Epicor ERP system was best suited to our objectives and manufacturing operations."

"Epicor proved to be the best fit for the Golden Chip Company manufacturing requirements," added Anish Kanaran, regional director for Epicor. "The Epicor ERP suite is capable of handling and optimizing Golden Chip's entire production cycle including workflows, inventory tracking and quotations."
