Acer signs Optimus as server and storage VAD Optimus intends to expand Acer's server business in the region, says Kaul.

Acer has signed Optimus Technology & Telecommunications as a value-added distributor for its server and storage range.

Under the agreement, which covers the Middle East, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Optimus will be responsible for building Acer's server channel in the region.

The distributor will focus on channel development activities for VARs, systems integrators and distributors, and will offer access to its value-added services portfolio, Optimus 360, and its marketing service, Optimus Primero, to position and sell Acer solutions.

Optimus will also offer training for partners to improve their service provision capabilities, and will also offering customer training through the Optimus Academy.
