Siemens has appointed Kay Zwingenberger as its new Chief Executive Officer for the UAE.

Zwingenberger will be responsible for Siemen's growth strategy in the region, and for developing local research initiatives, and driving technology and knowledge transfer with local groups.

"The UAE is a thriving, rapidly-developing nation and Siemens is committed to strengthening further its engagement in realizing the country's ongoing economic diversification, creating job opportunities for young Emiratis, and supporting the transfer of know-how and technology," Zwingenberger said.

Zwingenberger was previously CEO for Central Asia for Siemens, and has worked for the company since 1992.

We look forward to continuing the 40-year success story of Siemens in the UAE as a trusted long-term partner and employer, and a responsible corporate citizen."
