Sandisk widens flash drive portfolio
Sandisk is out with a slew of new USB flash drives that include an Extreme version that has the ability to transfer files at speeds up to 190MB/s
Sandisk has launched a suite of USB flash drives that include it's thinnest fastest and highest capacity USB products.
The first is the Sandisk Extreme USB flash drive that can store, transfer and share files upto 190MB/s. The drive reduces wait times for consumers and is said to be able to transfer larger files like 3GB in 20 seconds, and a 40GB file in four minutes. The Sandisk Extreme USB has a lifetime limited warranty, is available in capacities of 16GB to 64GB and retails for $64.99 to $159.99.
Next is the Cruzer Glide series flash drive, which stores up to 128GB, Sandisk's highest capacity flash drive ever. Users can store a lot of pictures, video, music and files. It also is a portable solution for ultra-thin notebooks that usually have limited capacity storage. These drives come with a two-year warranty and are available in capacities ranging from 4GB to 128GB with prices beginning at $19.99, all the way up to $249.99 for the highest capacity.
For the more stylish customer, the Cruzer Facet series of USB flash drives offer stainless steel casing in a faceted texture and many different rich colours. These are available in capacities of 8GB to 32GB and are priced between $32.99 to $54.99.
Finally, the Cruzer Pop USB flash drive is designed with the young urban user in mind. It has a variety of different patterns and colours and is designed to open with a ‘pop'. This is also Sandisk's thinnest USB and is available in capacities from $32.99 to $54.99.
