What were the company’s milestones in 2011?
Last year, we were able to put more focus on the retail business and expanded retail-related product lines. In addition, we increased our SME initiatives and expanded product line associated with this sector.
What are your strategic plans for the rest of 2012?
Trigon would like to continue supporting its loyal channel partners so that they can build quality businesses. We will be ramping up our peer-to-peer relationship with the channels to understand much better their business requirements.
What is the most pressing distribution issue?
Although the market is in itself a challenge, profitability, improved gross margins, cash flow management and stock management are all pressing issues.
Has the Middle East distribution sector recovered from the downturn?
We all expect and want 2012 to be a better than 2011 and 2010. If together, we continue to understand the basics of distribution, we all can overcome the external market factors.
Verdict: Trigon has always remained focused on building a regional distribution business that focuses on gross profit and bottom line basics. In supporting its four pillars of its business model that include channel, retail, corporate and export business, Trigon intends to continue supporting its channels with services, an area that is often overlooked in the regional channel.
