The fifth annual Channel Middle East Awards brought together leaders of the channel business in the Middle East, to recognise the stellar performances and achievements of the regional channel over the past year
The fifth annual Channel Middle East Awards brought together leaders of the channel business in the Middle East, to recognise the stellar performances and achievements of the regional channel over the past year.
The need for channel players to meet the changing demands of their vendor partners and at the same time deliver the added value that customers have come to expect has led the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) IT channel to mature at a rapid pace. These developments — and the effort, commitment and innovation behind them — deserve recognition, not just internally by an organisation’s stakeholders, but by the regional channel as a whole.
The fifth annual Channel Middle East Awards, held at the Westin Hotel, saw more than 350 channel executives from around the region come together to recognise the stellar performances and achievements of the channel in 2011.
The past year has seen mixed economic indicators, in the Middle East and globally, but the channel in this region has continued to strive to meet the needs of customers through dedication, hard work and innovation in business and technology.
The ongoing success, even in these uncertain times, of the region’s IT business can be directly attributed to the strength of alliances between vendors and partners, and the ongoing investment made by both in growing their capabilities.
Credit must go to all channel stakeholders (vendors, distributors, retailers and resellers) in the regional channel for contributing to the growth of the market and the Channel Middle East Awards honour the companies and individuals that have shown exceptional examples of excellence in their chosen niche.
Channel Middle East would like to thank this year’s judging panel for dedicating their time and effort to go through all the many nominations for each category and for bringing their knowledge which played a pivotal role in deciding this year’s winners.
Channel Middle East would also like to extend its appreciation to the sponsors of the award, Platinum Sponsor HP; the exclusive Gold Sponsors Asbis Middle East, Comgaurd and Unatrac IT Distribution, Silver Sponsors Allied Telesis, Aastra, Aptec, Cyberoam, Despec, D-Link, Empa, Mindware, Optimus Technology and Telecommunications, Redington and SonicWall; and to our special Networking session Sponsor Dell Middle East and Raffle Sponsor Touchmate.
