Huawei has launched a new range of ‘Beyond LTE' technology, which can significantly increase peak transfer rates to over 20 times faster than existing commercial LTE networks.

Beyond LTE achieves peak rates of up to 30Gbps and features improvements in antenna structure, radio frequency architecture, IF (intermediate frequency) algorithms, and multi-user MIMO (multi-input / multi-output).

David Wang, president of Huawei's Wireless Network Business Unit said: "Mobile networks are developing at an unprecedented rate. Future technologies will bring revolutionary advances in network evolution, and our Beyond LTE technology really does signify the future of mobile broadband."

Huawei has been steadily increasing its presence in the LTE space. It was most recently selected to build the first LTE network in London which will also be the first LTE TDD 3.5GHz deployment in the world.
