Huawei sets stage for enterprise channel growth Wu says Huawei is keen to forge hands-on alliances with partners across the region.

Huawei Enterprise has moved to grow its enterprise business, after the vendor recently held its first regional Partner Summit in Dubai.

The telecoms and IT infrastructure solutions vendor used the summit as a platform to lay ground for growth of its enterprise business and channel across the Middle East.

The moves come as the vendor explores ways of further strengthening its enterprise product and solutions offerings across the  region. Huawei unveiled its enterprise division in January 2011 and has embarked on a number of programmes to develop the channel ecosystem to further support its long-term goals for the region.

Huawei Enterprise also used the summit to welcome Secureway Network Distributors, a specialist value-added distributor in the Middle East, to its regional channel partner programme.

Dong Wu, vice president, Huawei Enterprise, Middle East, said: "Our Partner Summit was a productive experience for everyone, as there is no match sometimes for meeting face-to-face. As our regional channel programme grows in momentum, a gathering like this reminds our partners that Huawei is keen to forge hands-on partnerships with them that not only widen their portfolios of products but also provide the local resources and support they need to grow their businesses."

Wu said partner feedback at the summit reinforced the company's strategy of tailoring its approach to meet the needs of reseller partners in different vertical industries and local markets. "We carefully qualify partners into defined categories, enabling them to complement each other for optimal business growth without competitive overlaps, and delegates were reassured by this approach to working with multiple partners covering the same region," he said.

Sabu Mathew, director, Projects and Engineering at 3W Networks, a Huawei Enterprise partner said: "3W Networks main focus is to offer tailor made solutions to our customers in the energy, transport and telecom sectors. Huawei has a strong track-record in our vertical markets and is also prepared to work closely with us at a technical level. We have a significant presence in the region, with dedicated offices in the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Singapore, Korea and Australia.

A company with all noise and no action! I know cutomers who have had a very bad time dealing with Huawei, their claim to grow in the Ent/Commercial space has only backfired on them with their silly discount tactics, best of luck Huawei, you need to learn business operations first.
