Gulf Business Machines (GBM), the region's leading IT solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Hani Nofal as the new Integrated Networking & Site Services (INSS) director. In his new role, Nofal will be in charge of leading the INSS organisation across the Gulf and Pakistan with responsibilities to focus on customer satisfaction, profitable growth and strong solutions portfolio.

"Hani brings solid business and leadership experience to GBM, having worked previously with global organisations while developing standing relationships with enterprises and governmental organisations in the region. We are confident that Hani will make the most of every opportunity to leverage GBM's capabilities and to further expand our presence and reiterate GBM's leading position in the market," said Cesare Cardone, chief executive officer of GBM.

Nofal, who has more than 15 years of industry and management experience in the region, joins from Cisco where in his recent position was Cisco's Senior regional manager in the UAE. As part of Cisco's management in the Gulf, Nofal supported Cisco's rapid growth, talent acquisition and office expansion in the region since he joined the firm early 2005. Nofal was responsible for several strategic successes in the region and achieved significant agreements and milestones.

"I am incredibly energised to begin this new and challenging role. There's never been a better time to be in the heart of the industry helping customers across the region take advantage of the next great waves of information technology innovation. The Gulf market is currently offering unique opportunities, and we aim to continue to implement successful strategies to contribute to healthy business results," said Nofal.

Prior to joining GBM, Nofal has had several roles in global organisations including Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), Compaq and 3Com where he was the area sales manager for Gulf and Levant. Nofal received several industry recognition awards and has wealth of market, business and sales leadership experience.
