DISTREE Middle East, the annual channel conference that connects buyers and vendors in the Middle East consumer electronics retail channel, is aiming to expand its reach to retailers in the CIS region this year.

This year's event will include participation from a number of companies based in the CIS, as retailers from the region look to source products from the Middle East channel.

CIS companies that have confirmed attendance at DISTREE Middle East, including DNS Computers from Azerbaijan, Technoport from Georgia and Taze Dunya from Turkmenistan.

Farouk Hemraj, CEO of DISTREE said: "It is important to understand the supply routes that feed the growing CIS retail channel. With more CIS retailers looking at purchasing opportunities in the Middle East, it was a natural move to invite the top retailers from the CIS to attend DISTREE Middle East.

"Our mission is to bring the main buyers together in one place at one time to maximise the business benefits for participating vendors and distributors," he added. "We look forward to welcoming some of the most influential retailers in the CIS region to DISTREE Middle East."

DISTREE takes place in Fujairah, UAE, from 15th to 17th May.
