Avaya buys Radvision for $230m The deal will allow Avaya to deliver videoconferencing to any device, anytime, anywhere, says Kennedy.

Avaya has announced that it will purchase video conferencing specialist Radvision, for $230 million.

The company will add Radvision's range of video conferencing products, technologies and expertise to its unified communications platform.

Radvision's portfolio includes standards-based applications, open infrastructure and endpoints for ad-hoc and scheduled video conferencing with room-based systems, desktop, and mobile consumer devices.

Avaya intends that through integration of Radvision solutions with its existing Aura Unified Communications platform, it will be able to offer a broad set of solutions for customers.

The deal is expected to close in 90 days.
