Du selects Cisco for 4G/LTE mobile network
Cisco mobile internet platform being rolled out for Du network
UAE operator Du is deploying Cisco mobile internet solutions to build its nationwide 4G LTE mobile broadband network.
The operator is using the Cisco ASR 5000 Series as its mobile Internet evolved packet core (EPC) platform to provide greater network performance and intelligence.
The new network will provide new services and better performance for Du's five million customers, with speeds of up to 150Mbps, for services such as gaming, HD video streaming and social networking. The new architecture will also give Du greater network and customer intelligence, to deliver personalised services, while maintaining quality of service and security.
