Construction project management software specialists Meridian Systems, has added two new partners for the Middle East region.

Meridian has signed Value Added Reseller agreements with two companies, Zone Technology, which will focus on Egypt, and Rayat Technology Est (RTE) which will handle the Saudi market.

Both resellers will focus on providing Meridian's Proliance application, which delivers project management capabilities to building and infrastructure program owners and managers.

Geene Alhady, general manager for Meridian Systems commented: "Zone is well positioned with program management providers and consultants, multinational firms focused on the oil sector, developers in Egypt's tourism and real estate sector, and with public sector clients. This makes them a great addition to our international-based VAR network as they work with clients in Egypt to deliver a suite of engineering and survey solutions along with Meridian's Proliance solution."

"The addition of RTE to our partner network helps us to better serve clients in the construction and real estate, healthcare, utilities, oil & gas and public services sectors. RTE's skilled professionals have intimate knowledge of the Saudi market, and combined with a comprehensive sales and marketing team, they take a consultative approach to understanding customer needs," Alhady added.

Ahmed Kandil, MS, PE, PMP, Zone Technology said: "Egypt is in need of top notch software solutions to further enable our engineering community to manage their projects using best practices. We are particularly excited to introduce our current client base, which includes construction consultants and oil and gas customers in the area, to solutions that can effectively automate their business practices and save time and effort."

"Offering Proliance allows us to better satisfy the needs of the Saudi infrastructure market by allowing organizations to recognize fast ROI from the huge projects taking place in the region," said Zouheir Diab, executive director, RTE. "Many of our customers, with whom we have a good history of IT consultation and services, requested a solution to streamline their operations and empower their project management practice. With Proliance, we are confident we can meet our customers needs."
