Cisco has announced that its Cisco Expo Qatar will take place on 24th January in Doha.

The event aims to bring together Cisco customers and partners, to discuss the latest technology trends, and to understand how they can be used to improve business productivity.

The one-day event will take place at the Qatar National Convention Center, with around 500 key technical and business decision makers expected to attend.

The Expo will include presentations from Cisco executives, partners and other thought leaders on areas such as the power of collaboration and video, borderless networks, cloud and virtualization and emerging technologies.

Cisco Expo Qatar also includes an interactive exhibition to showcase the capabilities of Cisco and its partners in the region.

Tarek Ghoul, director and general manager Cisco, Gulf, Levant & Pakistan commented: "This event demonstrates Cisco's commitment and confidence in the Qatar market. Cisco Expo Qatar 2012 will be an excellent opportunity for us to showcase our latest technology solutions, demonstrating to businesses how technology will improve and enhance the services they offer - from simple connectivity to an intelligent platform that will dramatically improve productivity and collaboration and help drive productivity, competitiveness and societal change in Qatar.

"Offering technology relevance to demographics, globalization, sustainability, energy, green and industry transformation, the agenda and the networking opportunities will provide a real platform for thought leadership, technology architecture and the role of innovation to address our current and future government and business environment not only in Qatar but throughout the Middle East region," added Ghoul.
