Electronics retailer Emax has opened its eighth store in the UAE, as part of its growing regional expansion plans.

The Dalma Mall store, Emax' second in Abu Dhabi, will be the largest electronics outlet in the capital, according to the company.

Emax plans further regional expansion in 2012, with the aim of reaching 38 stores across the Middle East in the next six months.

Neelesh Bhatnagar, CEO of Emax said: "We are delighted to announce the opening of the second Emax store in Abu Dhabi, which is all set to become the largest one in the capital. This is a significant step aimed towards meeting growing consumer demand for electronics in the region. Our first store in the capital has already proven popular among shoppers with an average of over 250,000 customers visiting the store each year."

Bhatnagar added that customers at Emax stores are able to access finance schemes via Emax to pay for purchases, as well as a number of loyalty programmes.

"For every dirham spent in store, customers not only purchase electronics of their choice, but also add reward points using numerous loyalty schemes including Air Miles, Shukran, Skywards or even Etisalat's More rewards programme," he added.
