Kaspersky Labs has developed a new mobile security application, exclusive to watch company TAG Heuer's first smartphone.

The TAG Heuer Mobile Security (Powered by Kaspersky) application, based on Kaspersky Lab's Mobile Security, is intended to protect the Android luxury smartphone from threats such as malware, network attacks and SMS spam.

The security software also includes a GPS based find function to locate lost or stolen phones, encrypted storage, remote blocking or wiping of the phone to protect data, white lists and black lists to manage calls, and restrictions for child users.

The Link phone has been created in cooperation with ModeLabs Manufacture, with high end materials and shock proof construction, featuring black PVD, diamonds, rose gold, and mirror-polished, corrosion-resistant, hypoallergenic surgical steel. The phone runs on Android 2.2, with 3.5 inch Gorilla Glass screen, 5 megapixel still and video camera, and hand-worked coverings in calfskin, alligator or lizard.

Eugene Kaspersky, chairman and CEO of Kaspersky Lab, said: "We are happy to start our partnership with and to provide protection for users of TAG Heuer smartphones. Kaspersky Lab and TAG Heuer have common core values, such as best-of-breed reliability, cutting edge technology, and constant innovation. TAG Heuer Mobile Security is our first project in the luxury segment, and we are looking forward to further develop our partnership with TAG Heuer."
