DICE is coming down hard on 'boosters'
DICE recently gave a class in discipline to gamers who were cheating in Battlefield 3. They banned hundred of users as a consequence according to a tweet by the developer.
"This week we've banned hundreds of offending accounts and have stats-wiped accounts for exploiting (such as boosting)," said DICE on its Twitter account.
‘Boosting' is best described as a way of improving in-game scores by exploiting a glitch. Some players found this glitch with the Engineer's repair tool that allowed them to get thousands of points in a single match.
DICE has also asked all players for their help in trying to catch all those players that cheat in-game including but not limited to boosters, by sending a direct message to the developer's @Battlefield along with a screenshot of the Battle Log Report.
