OPTI-UPS on mission to sign distributors
Move is part of a wider plan to grow its footprint in the region
UPS and power management vendor OPTI-UPS has said that it is looking to appoint distributors in Turkey and the Levant region.
The move comes in the wake of the UPS solutions vendor's aim to develop channel presence in markets where it has minimal brand recognition.
The UPS vendor states that the initiative comes as business in Iraq has started to pick up in that country after it partnered with distribution partner AITC.
Kamlesh Kumar Amesur, regional manager - MENA, OPTI-UPS, said the company has been growing its distribution partners in the region following the penetration it has been making in the UPS market. "We have continued to grow our modular UPS systems in the Middle East," he said.
Amesur said the focus for this year is the modular UPS systems which have scalability of up to 3000KVA. "We are pushing these solutions in the data centre segment and it's crucial that our channel partners have the right skills and knowledge to take to market.
He explained that along with the partner recruitment drive, OPTI-UPS has also started to roll training programmes aimed at raising the level of skills especially around data centre solutions in the Middle East. "We have started to conduct training for partners in the UAE and these initiatives will be extended to other parts of the Middle East. The aim of these programmes is to equip partners with the right knowledge so that they develop their own expertise and become the trusted advisors to their customers."
