Forefront Technologies, a regional distributor of document imaging and archival products, has revealed that it plans to grow its channel presence in the Middle East region.

The move comes as Forefront has continued to increase its sales by over 60% between 2008 and 2010.

Johni Jabbor, regional sales manager at Forefront Technologies, said the company is participated at GITEX Technology Week to meet and interact with potential partners from the region. He said GITEX was the perfect platform for the company to meet with both its existing and potential clients. "Our document imaging business has continued to post solid results in the last three years and we believe that now is the right time to cement our standing in the market. We have made a decision to extend our account penetration and move into new territories in the Middle East by establishing presence in countries that have shown tremendous potential," he said.

Jabbor said the company is expanding its reach in the Levant region and is already looking to partner with resellers that have established track records in that region. He said the company has further strengthened its footprint in Lebanon, Kuwait and Bahrain both from a support and product perspective. "We have added our storage array in addition to the document imaging solutions we provide partners in the three countries," he said.

He said aside from the Levant focus, Forefront Technologies is also increasing partner support in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Qatar. "We have continued to grow our revenues in the two countries and that is why we are enhancing our operations by hiring new employees that will help in provide hands-on support to channel partners on the ground in the two countries," he said.

Jabbor said the company is also upping the tempo in the area of grey imports and to this effect, has been working closely with its vendor partners in combating the scourge.
