In pursuit of new channel partners Blancco is aiming to raise brand awareness in the region, says Vara.

Finland-based data erasure software vendor, Blancco has announced that it is looking to partner with resellers in the Middle East region who will supply its software solutions to the market.

The vendor, whose products help companies and individuals to erase permanently any data that may be on a PC, server or mobile phone, is currently distributed in the region by IBN Solutions FzE, a Sharjah based distributor.

Janne Vara, Chief Operating Officer, Blancco Oy Limited, says the company has decided to start recruiting partners who will resell its data erasure solutions because of the low awareness around these products in the Middle East.

Vara says being at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK has accorded the company the perfect opportunity and platform to engage with both channel partners and end-users in the Middle East.

“Although the brand has got a lot of appeal in Europe, the same cannot be said about it hear in the region. That’s why we have decided to pro-actively start engaging both channel partners and end-users on our offerings in the Middle East,” he says. “We are using this time and GITEX to promote and showcase our products to the market. We feel encourage by what we have witnessed from those that have visited us at our stand,” he says.
