ITP Publishing has unveiled an impressive range of innovative new applications for mobile devices at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK.

The Dubai-based media company, which includes Time Out Dubai, Arabian Business and Construction Week among its stable of publications, is showcasing new Apple iPod and iPad applications for its industry leading technology titles.

The applications are built on ITP’s existing prowess in online publishing, with sites such as technology portal ITP.net attracting more than 100,000 visitors each month. The site’s eZines and eNewsletters reach more than 175,000 individuals.

“We’re very excited to be unveiling our latest applications at GITEX Technology Week,” says Walid Akawi, CEO, ITP Publishing. “ITP has a long and illustrious relationship with the show itself and the wider Middle East IT market as a whole. We’ve been partners with both for the past 25 years and we always like to do something special to celebrate GITEX.”

Visitors to the ITP stand in Sheikh Saaeed Hall will be treated to live demonstrations of each of the new applications on iPhone and iPad. They will also be able to interact with the publisher’s portfolio of leading technology magazines, which include Arabian Computer News, CommsMEA, Channel Middle East and Network Middle East.

Prior to the latest announcements at GITEX, ITP had already successfully launched mobile applications for publications including Time Out Dubai, Arabian Business and Construction Week.

ITP’s TimeOut Dubai application, which tells GITEX visitors nearby places to eat, drink and shop after the event, has already been downloaded more than 62,000 times since its launch last year. ITP is the largest publishing house in the Middle East, boasting more than 80 weekly and monthly titles.
