Security vendor GFI Software has revealed that it has started to offer its managed security offerings to partners across the Middle East region. The plan is part of a broader initiative to develop the vendor’s managed security partner (MSP) channel. GFI, which is participating at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK together with distribution partner ComGuard, says that it has also started to recruit channel partners that are interested in becoming an MSP in the region.

John Spoor, Channel Sales Manager, GFI Software, says after tying up with ComGuard two months ago, the company is now ready to start rolling out its MSP initiative to channel partners in the Middle East. “Through our alliance with ComGuard, we have on board, a distributor that understands what MSP is all about,” he says. “This partnership opens up growth us and the entire partner eco systems.”

Spoor says being at GITEX reinforces the company’s commitment to ComGuard and the entire partner base that has supported GFI growth in the region over past seven years. “We are launching the MSP initiative to ensure that partners across the region benefit from GFI’s broader product portfolio. All our products have the capability to be offered via cloud and it is for this reason that we believe our managed security offerings are ripe to be offered by partners over the cloud,” he says. Spoor says apart from the MSP initiative, GFI is also readying its incentive and rebate programmes for all partners in the region.
