LINK Development unveils cloud solutions

Regional IT solution and services provider, LINK Development, has debuted its Microsoft-based Private Cloud Solutions, which offer IT-as-a-service at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK.

“Using IT-as-a-Service allows companies to focus on running their business, rather than worrying about supporting their IT needs internally. It provides around-the-clock monitoring and management. Vacations, illness and even off-hours coverage of IT staff do not adversely impact their technology infrastructure or support levels,” said Irini Rafaat managing director of LINK Development.

Cloud-based IT services can be quickly scaled up or down to meet business requirements, according to LINK Development and the company’s solutions include back-end business applications, virtual servers, storage, processing, virtualisation and management software.

Businesses can also build their own private clouds on top of their existing infrastructure investment. Virtualisation can be used to maximise the use of hardware and infrastructure, and offers employees Self-Service Portals, which allow them to handle requests and monitor reports for visibility on resource utilisation.

Virtualisation can also help IT departments reduce administrative work and allow them to focus on core duties such as network monitoring, data back-up, and security.

LINK Development is aiming its Private Cloud Solutions at the Government Sector, and says that the solutions will help to improve efficiency and the sharing information while keeping control over costs.

LINK Development will also unveil at GITEX its Knowledge Management, Mobile Solutions, and Corporate at the Microsoft Stand, TA-B1, Pod 11A, at Sheikh Saeed Hall 1 or Banana’s Factory Stand, S1-MAC78, at GITEX Mobile Apps & Content World.
