Signing new distribution partners is what Japan-based Audio Technica (AT) is hoping to achieve with its participation this year. This marks the company’s first appearance at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK.

When questioned about his company’s products and target markets Edwin Teo, Regional Sales Manager, Audio Technica says, “The Audio Technica range of products caters to all types of clientele, right from the lifestyle consumer to school children to DJs. We also have very high-end audiophile-orientated models.”

The company’s current best selling models are the SJ series and the ONTO 303. These are both lifestyle-oriented headphones that come in a variety of colours and are suitable for travel.

The higher end headphones in the company range are the FC-707, and the M-50. Teo explains, “These headphones produce studio quality sound, have active noise cancelling technology and are very good value for money.”

Teo concludes, “We have our regional headquarters in Singapore which caters to the Middle East and Africa markets. We wanted to come to Gitex to gain more contacts and hope to get a good response. Audio Technica is looking for the right channel in the Middle East and Africa and we are looking to get the right distributorship for our products.”
