Technology company Simmtronics Semiconductors is returning to GITEX Technology Week to build on the success it experienced as a result of its appearance at the show last year. This will mark the company’s seventh consecutive appearance at the technology fair.

The firm’s product portfolio includes desktops, servers, notebooks, memory modules, netbooks, graphics cards, USB flash drives and flash memory cards. Last year the firm launched what it said was one of the cheapest PCs in the world, which carried a retail price of US $199.

When asked about his company’s three strategic objectives, Indrajit Sabharwal, Managing Director, Simmtronics Semiconductors explains, “We aim to be among the top three memory manufacturers in the world. We are currently in the top five and wish to move up the ladder. We are able to take on any other memory company thanks to the quality of our products, the price we offer our products at and our global support channel. We also hope to grow our motherboard business, as we manufacture boards based on AMD, Intel and VIA core-logic chipsets. We are also keen on pushing our PC and notebook range and wish to be known as a global IT company.”

Sabharwal sees Gitex as a key event in the company’s calendar year stating, “Gitex is very important to us, as it functions as a window into the Middle East and African markets. We have been able to generate a lot of business as a result of appearing at Gitex in the past.”

Simmtronics competes in a highly competitive market and when questioned about what advantages his company offers, Sabharwal explains, “We are an international brand with daily price updates and a dedicated news service. We keep an eye on market trends and do forecasts from week-to-week. We also offer 24/7 technical support, territory exclusivity and supply our partners with sufficient product promotional material and other information and support.”

The technology company runs offices in the UAE, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, India, the United Kingdom, the United States and Singapore.
