After its successful participation last year, Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has come back to GITEX Technology Week 2011 with a bigger and more innovative portfolio of new e-services.

To reflect the vast steps it has made over the last 12 months, ADJD launched more than a dozen new systems and smart applications. What has been equally important is that most of these services are now available for the public over smart devices, such as iPhone and iPad.

Innovation has been a cornerstone of ADJD’s efforts to achieve its objectives of providing advanced facilities as well as the establishment of a fair and accomplished justice system with effective and innovative judicial services.

Commenting on this expanded participation, Rashed Saqer Al Dhaheri, Director of IT Division at ADJD, said that ADJD has not been only a user of the applications but also an innovator. He added that the larger participation reflects the Department’s dedication to improve its judicial services through more focused investments in new IT systems and applications.

“Integrating all these systems and applications in a single wide infrastructure has been our objective since the early stage. At the same time we are keen to be the number one in the field of judicial e-services. To execute such a grand scale project, ADJD has made great efforts in developing and qualifying its human resources to provide our end users with a seamless and efficient workflow,’ he said.

Earlier this year, ADJD was the winner of the Open Group’s Enterprise Architecture Practitioners award for the second time.

In addition to its new information and transactions portal that provides information on services offered to public, ADJD is presenting a host of new e-services and applications that are available on smart phones.

These include the Public Prosecution Case Management System, new Attestation System, Library Management System, Innovative Ideas System, Marriage Agreements System, Embracing Islam new system, and the new Family Guidance System.

Visitors of ADJD’s stand will moreover learn more on Fatwa Categorization System, Managers’ Forum, Survey Module, Scholarships Module, Experts System, iPhone and iPad application for Judicial Judgments and principles, as well as Amanat e-payment System.

A replica of ADJD model courtroom will provide visitors with an interactive experience of litigation process. They can ask questions about ADJD services and get answered on an interactive display screens by a cartoon animated customer service agent developed by ADJD especially for the event.
