Trend Micro a global software security provider, has launched an aggressive new Partner Programme, in a move aimed at rewarding pro-activity, driving new business and customer retention, delivering greater rewards and reviewing performance.

The company says the new programme will also enable it to offer robust cloud-based security offerings to channel partners in the Middle East region.

With the new programme in place, Trend Micro's approach going forward will be a leaner, more agile, more lucrative partner programme, which it says will deliver simplicity, flexibility and profitability to channel partners.

According to the security vendor, the tier structure is now a simple Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum status and has been vastly improved to offer flexibility reduced administration. The company says the new programme offers a far clearer line of accountability.

"Our channel ecosystem play a crucial role in making our products and solutions widely available and these new channel initiatives are designed to empower and make them profitable," said Sushma Kajaria, channel development manager, Trend Micro, MMEA.

"If our partners work with us to develop profitable, sustainable businesses, we will reward them with training, certification, specialisation, business planning and marketing tools, as well as very competitive margins. We offer our channel partners the only programme in the industry that goes beyond traditional anti-virus business and plugs them straight into the rapidly expanding cloud security and virtualisation markets. Underperformance is no longer an option," added Kajaria.

The re-launch of the Trend Micro Partner Programme comes at a time when the is achieving its highest growth against competition in the Internet security sector and has been rated number one in the virtualisation security market, according to Technavio's Global Virtualisation Security Management Solutions Citation.

"We are excited by Trend Micro's new partner programme. It gives us the freedom to operate with intent and the crucial vendor support from Trend is among the best in the industry. The company has robust cloud offerings and the new initiatives from them will help us get Trend products and solutions out to a wider audience," said Saurabh Vats, BDM at IMTAC Oman, a Trend Micro channel partner.

The company states that the partners that Trend Micro decides to retain and the new ones it attracts, will benefit from a number of significant improvements and new initiatives, including: deal registration, specialisations, upfront discounts and rebate schemes and marketing campaigns on demand.

An extensive communications campaign is underway to help existing partners understand how they can take part in the new Programme. New channel businesses interested in benefiting from the increased focus on partner profitability that the Programme brings can contact Trend Micro's team on
