RIM celebrates 70 million customers Research In Motion is celebrating 70 million customers by sharing stories about how some of their customers use BlackBerry and BlackBerry messenger to improve their businesses and their lives.

Research In Motion is celebrating reaching 70 million BlackBerry subscribers by showcasing stories about how some of its millions of customers have utilised their BlackBerry devices to improve their businesses, or improve their lives.

"BlackBerry is integral to the way we live and the diversity of our global community is truly outstanding. We want to celebrate hitting a landmark 70 million subscribers, and thank our customers, by sharing some of their remarkable stories" said Patrick Spence, managing director, global sales and regional marketing, RIM.

BlackBerry has created a video to highlight some of their customers' successes using their mobile device. The video can be viewed here.

Some of the stories include ones from UAE-based Desert Chill, the ice-cream van in the desert. Desert Chill owners use BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) to send out fun facts and information blasts to their customers.

In Jakarta, Indonesia, Jakarta Dog Rescue has utilised BBM for dog rescue operations
In South Africa, the Hyatt Regency in Johannesburg has created a community for Hyatt users using BlackBerry smartphones.
