Cayin Technology will release version three of its SMP-WEBDUO at InfoComm, which it claims is the most powerful media player in its digital signage player line-up. SMP-WEBDUO not only employs most functions from the SMP-WEB series but can also support full HD video and dual display both in landscape and portrait modes simultaneously, according to the digital signage supplier.

“The uniqueness of SMP-WEBDUO lies in its capability to control two screens simultaneously and demonstrate plentiful sets of screen combinations both in landscape and portrait orientation,” explains Marketing Manager, Cindy Lai. “You can choose to display either identical or different contents on these two displays in clone or distinct modes. SMP-WEBDUO can even stretch multimedia content from one screen to another, creating more stunning animation effects.”

Available to view at the technology exhibition, the Taiwanese firm’s latest media player is marketed as the “ultimate” visual solution and can integrate with 3G and GPS technology to provide mobile and place-based solutions. Players installed in moving vehicles can playback content based on the current location and administrators can also locate each player on Google Maps and instantly have an idea of the overall connection status of all players.

According to Lai, high quality presentation is also one of the main features of SMP-WEBDUO as it supports DVI connectors and 1080p full HD video playback. SMP-WEBDUO is equipped to present multimedia content created by web languages, such as HTML, JavaScript and Flash. It can also extend to integrate with databases, web servers, RFID devices, barcode scanners and touch screens.

SMP-WEBDUO allows flexibility in content creation as well. Skin Editor is provided to easily define the size and the location of each zone in a multimedia mix of video, music, HTML/Flash, image, ticker and clock. Experienced web designers can also utilise their own familiar web-editing tools, such as Dreamweaver. Live feed information, such as weather and news, can be included to enrich digital signage content.

SMP-WEBDUO also features remote management functions, allowing users to adjust the volume manually from a remote PC or even arrange a schedule to adjust the volume automatically, such as lowering the volume at night.

“Cayin Technology has dedicated itself in researching and developing high quality and high technology products to satisfy customers’ demands with better solutions,” says Lai. “SMP-WEBDUO, with well-designed functions in both hardware and software, is definitely your choice to have a great visual experience.”
