Cisco plans to focus on the current trends and issues facing the cloud and virtualisation landscape at GULFCOMMS.

Cisco plans to show how it utilises the network as the fundamental foundation interconnecting the world of clouds while focusing on the data centre, virtualisation, collaboration and borderless networks. Cisco’s positioning of solutions and architectures is targeted at the enterprise and service provider segments. Cisco is keen to position itself as a provider of infrastructure that can be used to construct cloud architectures. “GITEX Technology Week is the most significant ICT show of the year in the Middle East and Africa region, and is becoming increasingly well-known on the global technology stage,” says Wayne Hull, Director and General Manager of Cisco UAE.

“GITEX is an important event to connect with key business decision makers and continue to build relationships with a global audience. Cisco will have a direct presence at the event where we will be showcasing our innovations with a main focus on Cloud, that will increase value to customers, create new business opportunities for partners and drive technology advances in the region. Cisco definitely considers the Gulf as a key market. Combined with our brand strength and leadership across multiple product categories, we hope to leverage our participation at GITEX to improve this positioning in the market and continue our growth momentum.”
