Systems integrator and IT solutions vendor Gulf Business Machines (GBM) will be the platinum sponsor at this month's DatacenterDynamics event in Muscat.

The conference, held on September 25 in Oman's capital, will bring together data centre and IT professionals from across the Middle East. The industry-accredited networking forum will be the first of its kind in the city, and will feature three conferences under the following themes: ‘Design, Build, Operate'; ‘IT Optimisation'; and ‘Outsourcing Decisions'.

"We at GBM are honoured to take on the sponsorship for the forthcoming DatacenterDynamics Muscat. The forum will provide GBM a unique opportunity to network and build relationships with industry professionals and IT specialists," said Olivier Mouries, Oman country general manager, GBM. "Most importantly, the forum offers a valuable platform for business discussions and insights on data centre strategies and solutions and the opportunity to explore efficiency assessments for data centre enabling technologies."

GBM will showcase its ‘Design and Build' solutions for a cost-effective and energy efficient data centre, its ‘Manage and Operate' solutions for with its GBM ITS service offerings, and its solutions for ‘IT Optimisation' in the data centre with IBM software and hardware.

The GBM stand will be attended by several professionals with strong experience in data centre implementation and who can advise visitors on all aspects of projects. In addition, Michael Hogan, global offering executive, IBM Site and Facilities Services will be speaking.

Hogan's presentation will focus on the best way to deliver the necessary infrastructure to build and design an efficient data centre.
