Acer debuts colourful tablet Acer's new Iconia Tab A100 7-inch will be hitting electronics stores in Dubai on 1st October.

Acer is releasing its 7-inch Acer Iconia Tab A100, built on Android 3.2 in the UAE on 1st October.

The new tablet device weighs 410g and has full Micro SD card support, which can now be accessed from a PC via a USB connection.

The Iconia Tab A100 is powered by the dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, and is designed to give the same performance as  the 10-inch tablet in the same Acer Iconia Tab series.

The 7-inch full touch screen tablet is designed primarily as an entertainment device, so users can watch movies, read books, and browse the web with Flash 10.3 support.

The tablet also supports premium arcade games and online 3D games, allows users to share video content on their TVs with 1080p video playback and HDMI out and features Dolby Mobile audio technology.

The Iconia Tab A100 comes with a 5MP auto-focus rear camera for high-resolution photos and 720p videos and a 2MP front-facing camera for video conferencing.

The pre-loaded Acer Day Planner, is designed to allow users to track their agenda, emails, latest news and weather on a single interface.

The new Acer tablet features a blue patterned cover and from October will also be available in red. The tablet will be priced at AED1,499 from all leading electronics retailers.
