Technology retailers and well-known consumer brands are looking to tap into the UAE's billion-dollar consumer electronics market at this year's GITEX Shopper.

Analysts have estimated that the UAE's consumer electronics market is worth approximately $3.4 billion annually.

Visitors to GITEX Shopper, organised every year by the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), can expect bundled deals, competitions and launches of the latest technology products, according to the organiser.

"Technology facilitates a fast-paced modern lifestyle, enabling us to connect and communicate easily, work more efficiently and enjoy every convenience the latest innovations bring to our day-to-day lives. Connecting consumers with the world-class consumer IT and electronics brands for an eight day retail extravaganza, GITEX Shopper is the perfect destination to discover the latest products to improve your leisure time, home, workplace or school," says Trixee Loh, Senior Vice President, DWTC.

Top brands have confirmed their presence, including Blackberry, Bose, Dell, Epson, Fujitsu, HP, HTC, Intel, Lenovo, Nakamichi, Nokia, Panasonic, Samsung, SanDisk, Seagate, Steel Series and Western Digital. Shopper is the largest consumer IT and electronics show in the region and takes place October 8-15 at Airport Expo Dubai.
