Ford Motor Company will be showcasing the all-new Explorer at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK 2011.

The Explorer packs a number of high-tech features including Sync, MyFord Touch, the world's first inflatable second-row seat belt, Active Park Assist, My Key, Curve Control and much more.

"GITEX is a great opportunity and ideal platform to showcase and highlight Ford Motor Company's technological advancements and benchmark setting innovations that put the company in the lead, as it continues to make high-end technologies available and affordable mainstream," says Larry Prein, Managing Director, Ford Middle East, explaining why the company chose GITEX to debut the car. "The show allows us to reiterate Ford's continued drive towards launching more innovations and setting the benchmark in driver-focused technologies that make the ownership and driving experience seamless, safe and fun."

According  to Prein, Ford is on a good run in the region.

"The Ford and Lincoln brands are going from strength to strength, as sales during the first half of 2011 posted nearly 50% growth in the GCC region over the same period last year," he says.

"The company continues to see market share growth around the region thanks to the success of its new generation of models. We expect this trend to continue through the end of the year."
