Dubai-based SmartScreen has partnered with Amscreen to sell its digital signage solutions in the Middle East and Africa.

The digital signage solution provider will sell Amscreen digital screens and software to customers in retail stores, convenience and service station forecourt stores.

Amscreen, which is based in the UK and owned by Sir Alan Sugar, has a number of customers in the UK and Europe. SmartScreen will license Amscreen's bespoke content delivery software, will leverage its expertise and will use it for technical support, in order to build its own advertising network in the region.

Newly-launched SmartScreen, which already has contracts with ENOC/EPPCO in the UAE and the Zoom convenience store network in Dubai Metro stations, has also signed AIR Media as a sales agency to sell advertising on its behalf.

Abdul Bakhrani, CEO of SmartScreen, said: "We were thoroughly impressed by Amscreen's network in the UK and were keen to replicate this in our territories. We already have one key petrol operator on board and are really excited to see our forecourt network grow and to modernise digital signage solutions in the Middle East and Africa."
