3W Networks appoints new managing director Gamali will take on the new position of chairman, 3W Networks Group

3W Networks, a regional telecommunications and security systems integrator, has appointed telecoms industry veteran Tarek Bary as its new managing director.

Bary assumed his new role on 18th August 2011 and will lead the company towards achieving its vision of becoming the global systems integrator operating in the energy, transport and telecommunications sectors.

Bary said: "These are exciting times for 3W Networks as we accelerate our strategic growth. I look forward to working closely with the 3W Networks team to deliver to our customers, solutions that provide superior value and help them achieve new levels of success."

Prior to joining 3W Networks, Bary was the managing director at Transtel Engineering based in Singapore. Bary brings with him a wealth of experience in managing multi-disciplinary turnkey projects worldwide and will be a key element in the scaling up and rolling out of 3W Networks strategic initiatives. 3W Networks says Bary's appointment signifies a new phase for the company which will now focus on taking larger scale projects and expanding its presence to newer markets.

Walid Gamali, the current chief executive officer at 3W Networks will move within the organisation to take on the responsibility of chairman, 3W Networks Group.

"We are very happy to have Tarek join our team as he is very well regarded in the industry and understands our business intimately," said Gamali.

"Tarek will lead our global sales and enhance the company's value proposition of engineering and supporting our solutions locally. I look forward to working with Tarek to take the business through to the next phase,'' Gamali added.

Bary holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alexandria, a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Cairo and a Masters degree in Telecommunications from the University of Sheffield.
