In the hot summer months we see in the Middle East, spending time outside the confines of an air conditioned space is ill advised, as it could affect you quite seriously. However, just because it’s baking outside, it doesn’t mean you’ve got to stay indoors and twiddle your thumbs. You can still have epic amounts of fun with a gaming PC or console, a few of your best friends and the right games. Here, we show you the best party games to play.

In the hot summer months in the Middle East, putting your best foot forward and venturing outdoors for any sort of group activity is ill-advised. The intense heat can very quickly affect your health along with your family and friends in a negative way. Staying indoors then is the way to go but that doesn’t mean you still can’t have fun. You can just as easily cook-up an epic gaming party. All you need is a PC or console, some games to play and sufficient controllers.

With motion-sensing gaming things become a lot more interactive and definitely more fun. Consoles like the Xbox, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii are party favourites and the Kinect for Xbox and Move for the PlayStation 3 are great accessories to indulge in motion-gaming. Motion-compatible games can even give you a solid workout today, so don't let anyone tell you that playing games will turn you into an out-of-shape slob. You can also play on a PC and engage in splitscreen, network or Internet-based multiplayer gaming.

While the hardware and games are important, don't forget to make sure that everyone has access to a huge bowl of chips or popcorn and some beverages. You should also remember to take sufficient breaks in between gaming sessions.

There are many different games that you can play at gaming parties and depending on everyone's preferences, you should pick games that everyone is interested in. On the next few pages you'll find our choices for some of the best games to play on PC and console.
