Randi Zuckerberg, sister of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, is quitting the social site to start her own company. She was Facebook's Marketing Director.

Randi, who is a little over two years older than brother Mark, is launching a company called RtoZ Media, whose focus is to help other companies become more social.  Her resignation letter read, "My goal is to launch my own innovative programming and work with media companies to develop their programming in new, and more social ways."

Randi Zuckerberg formerly worked as a panelist on American business analysis program, Forbes on Fox. She intends to use the experience gained from developing Facebook's marketing strategy and the company's popular live video feed channel, Facebook Live, to help companies develop or enhance their social presence.

The elder Zuckerberg will likely be heavily missed. She is said to be one of the key figures responsible for Facebook's explosive growth. The news was first broken by website AllThingsD.
