Etisalat's new and existing Wasel prepaid customers now have the chance to get free lifetime validity, allowing customers to keep their mobile numbers without having to renew it on a yearly basis.

The free lifetime validity will be given to Wasel subscribers automatically and does not require customers to subscribe to the service.

To keep their Wasel lifetime validity benefit, customers must make a minimum of one charged call or send an SMS from their Wasel accounts every three months.

"Etisalat is constantly working to fulfil customer expectations by launching a series of user-friendly and exciting initiatives. The new free lifetime validity benefit reinforces this commitment and makes our customer's mobile experience easier and more affordable. It not only helps them effortlessly maintain their Wasel connections for life, but also saves them recurring costs. Combined with the advantage of strong mobile coverage on Etisalat's nation-wide 3.5G network, it is a win-win situation for our customers," said Matthew Willsher, chief marketing officer at Etisalat.

Etisalat is now offering new Wasel prepaid connections for AED75, which comes with AED25 worth of credit that can be used for making both local and international calls and sending text messages.

New Wasel SIM cards come pre-installed with free lifetime validity, while existing customers will be notified via SMS that they have been provided with the validity.

Wasel customers can now also subscribe to the Super Off-Peak plan and get discounts of 60% on international calls during the Super Off-Peak hours from 11pm to 7am. The plan also offers 35% discounts during off-peak hours between 2pm to 4pm and 9pm to 11pm every day, all day on Friday and national holidays.
