Sony launches Vaio E Series in Middle East Sony has released the new Vaio E Series notebooks in the Middle East.

Sony has launched the new Vaio E Series notebooks in the Middle East. The new series is built around second generation Intel Core i5 Processors and AMD dual-core processors, designed to improve video viewing, enhance game play graphics and response and give a longer battery life.

The notebooks' are ergonomically designed, and have a hexagon pattern embossed into the shell, and palm rest, designed to reduce fingerprints and smudges. The screen sizes in the new Vaio E Series range from 14-inch to 15.5-inch.

Graphics in the new notebooks are driven by the Nvidia GeForce 410M GPU, AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics or Intel HD Graphics 3000.

The notebooks come with several applications and utilities pre-installed, which are designed to be launched via one touch buttons. These buttons include the Web button for quick web access and the Vaio button that launches the media gallery.

It also features a dedicated Assist button that gives one-touch access to Vaio Care, for basic maintenance and troubleshooting tasks. In addition, the Vaio E Series is equipped with the PMB Vaio Edition software that helps organise, create and share photos and videos.

The touch pad with multi-gesture control supports flick, tap and scroll to facilitate easy navigation around web pages and application screens. This function can be enabled or disabled by Fn + F1 key.

The VAIO E Series is available in four different colours. The 14-inch and 15.5-inch models are available in black, white, and pink.

The notebooks are now available across Jumbo Showrooms and other leading electronics stores in the UAE, at a retail price starting at AED2,495.
