Deus Ex: Human Revolution has gone gold. The game is the third in the Deus Ex series of games.

"We couldn't be more excited that Deus Ex: Human Revolution has gone gold and will soon be in the hands of expectant gamers," said Stephane D'Astous, General Manager of Eidos-Montreal. "As the first release for Eidos-Montreal, it's impossible to express how extremely proud we are of the final product and all of the hard work that went into its creation."

Although Human Revolution is the third game in the  series, it is a prequel that takes place 25 years before the events of Deus Ex. The game is scheduled for release in North America on August 23 and will then hit other markets such as Australia and Europe within the same week.

The Middle East region and other emerging markets will also have access to an exclusive DLC pack known as the Explosive Mission Pack. The free DLC features an entirely new mission with a special cameo appearance from one of the original Deus Ex characters, plus gadgets such as the Automatic Unlocking Device, the M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device (UR-DED) and the Linebacker G-87 multiple shot grenade launcher.

The DLC will be available on 26 August, which is likely when the main game will also be released in the region. The game will be available for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game platforms.
