Etisalat, Telefónica sign partnership agreement

Etisalat and Telefónica have signed a strategic partnership agreement that will see both companies collaborating on technological standardisation, new global technology initiatives, R&D, and new emerging products and services such as M2M, financial services or cloud-based services.

Both companies will also work on procurement, international capacity and wholesale services and are planning to offer customers using either operator enhanced support.

The partnership agreement comes into affect immediately

Etisalat Group is represented in 18 countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, whilst Telefónica's footprint has been established in 25 markets in Europe and Latin America.
