Ahmad Al Hanandeh is the successor to Dr. Abdul Malek Al Jaber’s short stint.
Ahmad Al Hanandeh has taken up the new role of CEO of Zain Jordan.
Kuwait-based Zain Group has appointed Ahmad Al Hanandeh as the CEO of its operation in Jordan.
Al Hanandeh has taken up the new role following the exit of his predecessor, Dr Abdul Malek Al Jaber who decided to dedicate his future to his family while pursuing personal business interests.
Previously, Al Hanandeh held the position of the chief financial officer of Zain Sudan mobile operation since March 2011. Prior to this, he served as the general manager of Posta Plus, a Gulf-based firm specialising in delivery, courier and postal services across the Middle East.
During the period from 1994 to 2006, Al Hanandeh had been a key member of the Aramex Group initially joining as an accountant and later became the country manager of several of Aramex's Asian operations.
Following Al Jaber's departure from the dual roles of CEO of Zain Jordan and COO of Zain Group, a Zain spokesperson earlier said the group's chief executive, Nabil bin Salama, is to take up the COO role of the group until further notice.
