Do you think distribution has recovered from recent economic upheaval?

Yes and No. I believe petro-economies continue to perform strongly, while some parts of the Middle East have slowed down.

What were the company’s main milestones in 2010?

In 2010 we have consolidated Aptec’s position as the leading VAD in the Middle East and Africa. We have also focused on our regional presence, by opening new offices in four countries.

The company also expanded its key Microsoft OEM agreement, and introduced it’s Cisco-focused Track subsidiary to the Saudi market.

What are your strategic plans for the rest of 2011?

We will continue to develop our Value Added Solutions for SMBs and enabling our reseller partners. We will launch ALS and a wide range of IT-related logistics services, and expand the the range of ATS professional service offerings.

Aptec is one of the longest established distributors in the market, and also one of the best performing, particularly in the value-added segment. Aptec continues to push new innovations for its reseller base, and is the first regional distributor to launch an environmental sustainability programme, which puts it in line with vendor initiatives.
