McAfee has announced a new partner programme to target the SMB sector.

The new SMB Specialisation will be part of the existing McAfee Security Alliance programme (MSA), and will help partners to target organisations with less than 250 employees.

The company says that the SMB security market is worth $7 billion worldwide, and the programme is designed to provide email, web, data and endpoint security solutions to customers, either through on-premise installation or as a SaaS model.

The programme will include a range of benefits and tools, along with the Partner Acceleration Resource Center (PARC), an online resource with information for partners. Among the resources for partners will be SMB specific information including product overviews, tutorials, best practices, sales tools, and marketing campaigns; the ability to bill customers on a monthly basis; turnkey sales acceleration kits; and tools to develop the partner as a trusted advisor for the customer.

The programme will also include rewards and margin programmes designed for SMB partners, and streamlined deal registration.

"McAfee is committed to expanding business opportunities for McAfee SecurityAlliance Partners," said Alex Thurber, senior vice president of worldwide channels at McAfee.  "The growing SMB space offers attractive cross-sell, up-sell, and service revenue opportunities for our partners.  With the McAfee SMB Specialization-the most robust program to sell security to the SMB customer, partners can simplify and accelerate their success in the SMB space."
