help AG signed as Palo Alto service partner Palo Alto Networks offer the most advanced firewalls available, says Berner.

help AG has been appointed as the first Support Service Partner for Palo Alto Networks for the region.

Under the agreement, help AG will provide 24-7 support services for Palo Alto's next generation firewall customers. help AG will offer phone, email and online support to customers, as well as providing access to help AG's online support centre, to log and monitor support requests, download software releases and access a knowledge base.

The agreement builds on help AG's existing relationship with Palo Alto Networks, which began in January 2010. help AG currently has the most Palo Alto Networks certified engineers in the Middle East.

"From the very beginning we have invested strongly in our Palo Alto Networks partnership and as of today we are the only Authorized Service Partner and the only Authorized Palo Alto Training Partner in the Middle East," explained Stephan Berner, managing director, help AG. "Palo Alto Networks provide the most advanced Next Generation Firewall platforms on the market, allowing customers to focus on their organizations core business by utilizing the added value support services provided by help AG."

"Currently enterprise customers invest 90% of their budget for IT security into the network layer, this is surprising given that 70% of all attacks and vulnerabilities come from the application layer" added Berner. "At the same time, if you look into the business requirements coming from the end customer, more and more services will be ‘webified' and therefore spending should be more balanced."
