EES has deployed a new IT infrastructure to support the Abu Dhabi Government Family Development Foundation.

The Family Development Foundation is a public non-profit organization with a mission ‘to raise a conscious family with established genuineness that has the ability to face future challenges'. It works with a vision of ‘Leadership in Family Development'.

FDF required a flexible and scalable IT infrastructure with state of the art facilities and easy to manage to fulfill its vision

EES carefully studied FDF's requirement and supported it to lay a strong infrastructure enabling it to achieve its goal.

As a part of the FDF infrastructure implementation, EES provided a wide range of product integration, covering major IT infrastructure elements including servers, Active Directory, DNS, email Infrastructure, virtualization, SAN storage and backup.

The solution comprises of HP C7000 Blade Enclosure and Blade Servers for server computing infrastructure, and HP EVA 4400 Storage as a consolidated storage to handle FDF's critical business applications. The C7000 Blade Enclosure and C class Blade Servers provide a reliable and scalable server infrastructure and provide redundancy in power, network and SAN connectivity.

EES designed and implemented the FDF Active Directory with DNS and DHCP Infrastructure. Active Directory serves as the central location for configuration information, authentication requests, and information about the users and computers. Using Active Directory, FDF is efficiently able to manage users, computers, groups, printers, applications, and other directory-enabled objects from one secure, centralized location.

The platform for all server application was solidified by VMware vSphere Infrastructure providing FDF with a robust virtualization platform by transforming data centres into simplified cloud infrastructure and enabling the next generation of flexible, reliable IT services.

The backup and recovery solution comprised of Symantec Backup Exec and HP MSL4048 Tape Library delivering reliable Windows server backup and recovery and easily protecting data while reducing storage and management costs.

FDF is now able to reduce business downtime, and ensure critical information on virtual or physical systems is always protected and restored very fast.
