In this chassis face-off Gigabyte's Setto II 142 is literally a featherweight. Thankfully this case easily proves that size doesn't always matter.

On the cooling front the Setto II 142 is reasonably well sorted thanks to one 80mm fan position and two 120mm housings. With two 120mm fans in place (one intake and one exhaust) there's a decent amount of airflow running through the machine to ensure that even high-end rigs behave when they're put under pressure by apps and games. That said the Setto II 142 will struggle when it comes to accommodating highly-overclocked components.

Expansion-wise the Setto won't disappoint thanks to its four external 5.25-inch and two 3.5-inch bays. On the inside there are also four 3.5-inch bays, a full complement of rear expansion slots and a decent amount of space to pack in a full-size ATX board. The only trouble with the interior is that it isn't perhaps the most suitable for oversized CPU coolers. This is simply because the edges of the cooler may make contact with the rear of the case or the powersupply which sits just above. The Setto II, like its expensive counterpart is built quite well too.

In the looks department the finished-in-black Setto II isn't as handsome as some of its competitors in this round-up but given its budget price tag, this isn't too surprising. At the same time the Gigabyte is far from something we'd describe as ugly or unattractive.

Verdict: If you don’t intend to build a highly overclocked rig with super-sized cooling accessories the Setto II 142 is a great budget case to work with.
