Coolermaster's HAF X chassis has been available on the market for some time but despite this, it hasn't been eclipsed in terms of features and expansion.
With dimensions of 230 x 599 x 550mm the HAF X is the largest chassis in this grouptest by far. Thanks to its immense size this monster can accommodate even over-sized XL-ATX motherboards such as Gigabyte's X58A-UD9. No other case in this test can claim to do the same.
Beyond its flexible motherboard support the HAF X is impeccable when it comes to cooling capabilities. By default it comes with one 230mm forward intake, one top mounted 200mm exhaust (you can fit a second 200m fan too), one side 200mm fan, one rear 140mm fan and there's an optional VGA fan duct and VGA fan holder. The duct can be kitted out with a single 120mm fan whereas the fan holder can accept an 80mm fan. Since most of the Coolermaster's fans are massive in size they spin at incredibly low speeds and yet move massive amounts of air, which makes the HAF X the coolest and most silent case here. So regardless of what rig you're planning to build, this Coolermaster monster has you covered.
Another feature unique to the HAF X in this test is its two front-mounted USB3.0 ports. No other case in this grouptest offers these ports. The chassis also offers front-mounted audio, two USB2.0 ports, one Firewire port and one eSATA port.
