Duke Nukem Forever has leaked to torrent sites. Pirate groups ‘Complex' and ‘Duplex' put up their hacked versions of the game on June 8, two days before the game was officially scheduled to launch in most markets across the world.

Complex's release of Duke Nukem Forever is for the Xbox 360 gaming platform whereas Duplex's release is for the PlayStation 3 console.

Prior to Complex and Duplex's versions of Duke Nukem Forever appearing on torrent sites, a number of fake files claiming to be the game have been appearing on torrent sites for several weeks.

Duke Nukem is a video game series that was initially released in 1991 for MS-DOS, and focuses on protagonist Duke Nukem. Duke Nukem ll was released in 1993, and "Duke Nukem 3D" launched in 1996.

While Duke Nukem Forever was initially scheduled to launch a couple of years after Duke Nukem 3D was released, the game only went to gold status 14 years after development started.
